Hiper- realism or realism is a style of painting in which the artist shut follow a series of pictorial rules so that the final result become a painting with quality. The perspective, the shadow/light contrasts and the mixing the colours in the palette are some important aspects to take into account when you are painting realistically. It fascinates me to be able to capture on canvas the texture of materials. Painting the effect of rust, despite being a prolong process, is a subject that fascinates me due to the warm colours that are translated onto the canvas and by capturing the oxidation of the iron that, with time, transforms and degrades. The more this effect is intensified, the more interesting it is to transpose on to the canvas.
